Rochester Restaurant Back Open After Being Closed for 7 Months Due to COVID-19
On March 17th, when the entire state of Minnesota basically shut down because of COVID-19, a favorite eating spot in Rochester sadly announced on their Facebook page that they would be closed until further notice. After 7 months, this Rochester favorite is finally reopening.
A few weeks ago, I had a story up about all of the businesses that have closed in 2020. It was a heartbreaking story to write and the list of places is incredibly long. If you missed it, you can read it here. After it was published, I had a few people send me a notes to let me know I missed Hog Thai in Rochester. I personally reached out to Hog Thai and asked if their closure was permanent and at that point, they were working on their future plans but said that they'd keep me in the loop.
I'm happy to share that they are back open. And based on all of the comments happening on their Facebook page, their customers are thrilled too.
We are excited to announce that Hog Thai will be re-opening for take-out and delivery orders on Tuesday, October 13th! Throughout our time of being closed, we have continued to receive many messages of encouragement, support, and inquiry. We truly appreciated each one of our family, friends, and patrons for all the outpouring of love for our food! We look forward to serving you once again!
**Note: we are not able to offer dine-in service at this time. Our new website www.hogthai.com for ordering take-out orders will go live on Tuesday. We will continue to offer our menu for delivery via Doordash as well. We will update as more services become available.
