Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An annual fundraising drive by a Rochester organization was a success and donations are still coming in.

The Salvation Army Friday announced it had reached its 2021 Red Kettle goal of $1.125-million.

A spokeswoman said “Final campaign totals are still unknown as gifts given to the Christmas campaign are still being received. The organization wishes to express the utmost gratitude to the many donors and volunteers that were instrumental in surpassing this goal.”

This campaign was the Salvation Army’s 125th Red Kettle Season in the Rochester community.

“The Salvation Army is in the business of providing hope,” said Major Bob Mueller, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Rochester, MN, “From health and housing, to our feeding and youth programs, we want to thank everyone in and around Rochester who contributed their time, talents, and treasures to these continued services for our neighbors most in need.”
