Slick Conditions Possible in Rochester Area Into Sunday Morning
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -Travel conditions could become a bit dicey tonight in the Rochester area.
The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for the southeast corner of Minnesota, along with portions of northeast Iowa and western Wisconsin. Forecasters are predicting a light wintry mix of rain and snow will spread across the region late tonight and taper off Sunday morning.
The snowfall totals are expected to be less than an inch in most locations but the National Weather Service says slick conditions could develop on the roadways with the temperatures predicted to hover around the freezing mark overnight. Anyone with travel plans through the mid-morning on Sunday is being advised to allow some extra time for safely reaching their destinations.
