Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - It wasn’t an expensive theft but could have led to serious consequences.

A stop sign was reported stolen from a road in rural NE Olmsted County Tuesday. It was at a “T” intersection at Quincy Rd and County Rd 107.

A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office says the sign was stolen sometime Monday night. The theft was discovered around 8:00 AM Tuesday.

He says the theft created a potentially dangerous situation for motorists who weren’t familiar with the area.
