Fireworks on the Fourth of July are a given, right? Except in this popular Minnesota city, which just announced that its annual fireworks display won't be happening on the 4th this year.
There are some serious rules and regulations surrounding fireworks in Minnesota. Some consumer fireworks are legal to have and to light, and some are not.
With the 4th of July in the rearview mirror less fireworks are being shot off in Minnesota in the evenings. Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall joined me on WJON. She indicates violators of Minnesota's fireworks laws rarely make it to her office with most of these offenses falling in the misdemeanor or petty misdemeanor category.
One tip that didn't make the list is a weighted blanket. These are great for anyone that lives with anxiety. It's just probably not the best option when it is 80+ degrees outside.
