The Rochester Honkers are pleased to announce that Sue Nelson, the organist for the Minnesota Twins, will be playing at Mayo field during the Honkers game against Mankato on Friday, July 3rd.  The game begins at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6, and will also feature a Fireworks Extravaganza following the game.

Nelson has been the organist for the Twins’ organization since 1998, and has been playing at professional sporting events since 1981. She played organ for the Minnesota North Stars from 1981 through 1993 and also played for the old Minnesota Strikers soccer team. After longtime Twins organist Ronnie Newman retired, the Twins job went to Sue. She's only missed one game, to attend and play organ at her daughter's wedding. Not only does Nelson work for the Twins, she's also one of their big fans.

Sue has also made frequent trips to Rochester over the past decade to play for the Honkers’ crowds at Mayo Field.  And you'll have another opportunity to see and hear her play this Friday.
