(VIDEO) Stunning Crash Snarls Traffic at Rochester Interchange
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is reporting that one person was transported to St. Marys Hospital following a very scary traffic crash this afternoon at a busy highway interchange in Rochester.
The crash, which was captured by a Minnesota Department of Transportation camera, involved an SUV that exited northbound Highway 52 at the 19th Street interchange. Rather than turn left and cross the bridge, the video shows the vehicle drive over a grassy median and then crash into several vehicles waiting at a red light to travel west across the bridge from Elton Hills Drive.
The SUV ended up flipping over before coming to rest on its top. The State Patrol is indicating the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. There were reports that a medical issue might have triggered the crash.
