After all the turkey and stuffing, yams and pumpkin pie have been eaten on Thanksgiving, you can now plan to go out and burn off those calories on Black Friday for free at any of Minnesota's State Parks.

Once again this year, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is opening all the state parks free of charge on Black Friday, which is on November 25, 2016. There are a ton of great state parks around Rochester and all over southeast Minnesota! Whether you want to hike (or maybe ski, depending on the weather by then) the trails of Whitewater State Park near St. Charles, or nearby Carly State Park, enjoy scenic views of the Mississippi River at John A. Latsch State Park near Winona, or visit any of a host of other state parks in the area, you can do it all for free on Black Friday.

You can check out all your state park options with the DNR's super-cool park finder! No matter where you go, you'll be sure to get some exercise and fresh air while enjoying all that Minnesota's state parks have to offer.

So, get out there, burn off all your Thanksgiving calories and enjoy the beauty of our fine state!
