Wabasha Deputy Injured in Crash
Plainview, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Wabasha County Sheriff’s Deputy was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital early Tuesday morning to be treated for non life-threatening injuries following a traffic crash near Plainview.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 29-year-old Deputy Nathan Barker was parked along the westbound shoulder of Highway 247 about four miles west of Plainview around 3:30 a.m. when an eastbound vehicle drifted over the center line and crashed into his law enforcement vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, 58-year-old Terry Jarrett of Zumbro Falls, was not hurt and the State Patrol report indicates alcohol was NOT a factor in the crash.
