Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a Rochester man who failed to report to the Olmsted County Courthouse Monday for his sentencing hearing.

32-year-old Sara Heng recently worked out a plea agreement to settle the charges he faced in connection with a stabbing and robbery in Rochester last summer. Heng entered an Alford plea to a motor vehicle theft charge. The plea means Heng does not admit guilt, but acknowledges there is enough evidence for a conviction.

Heng, along with two Rochester men and a St. Cloud man, were arrested last July after an 18-year-old man from Houston Minnesota was stabbed in the parking lot of the Extended Stay America Hotel on West Lake Drive Southeast. The victim, who suffered a non-life threatening wound, told police that he and a friend fled on foot. They later returned to the scene and The victim’s car, wallet and cell phone were gone.

The man accused of actually stabbing the victim, 29-year-old Edgar Barrientos of Rochester, is currently scheduled to stand trial on 2nd degree assault and 1st degree aggravated robbery charges in March.
