Hi!  I'm James Rabe, Brand Manager and host of the Y-105 Early Morning Show. I've been back in town almost a year and what a year it's been! We're fresh, we're fun, we have all your favorite songs plus the best new music, and we're an every day part of your world...thanks for checking out Y-105!

What's Y-105 playing?

Well, music-wise we play 80's, 90's, 2k and today...there's a lot of great music in there, and I think you'll really enjoy the variety of new music and songs you love, love, LOVE to crank up. It's perfect for work. Scroll down a bit to get it in your office!

Right now, Elle King is getting a ton of requests, so is Walk the Moon. I'd say Taylor Swift and Adele fight for the number one spot, but Megan Trainor and Ed Sheeran are huge, too.

You'll hear brand new stuff, too, like Charlie Puth, "One Call Away" and Lady Gaga's "Til it Happens to You." I admit, that one gets me pretty emotional.

And of course, you'll hear your favorites from the early 2000's (it's been 16 years?) and the 90's and the 80's, too. So much good music.

What does Y-105 do besides music?

My number one goal has been to keep growing Y-105 into a fun place to hang out, so our games aren't like anyone else's. For instance, over Valentine's we did the Love Story Contest. Incredible love stories. And sure, there was a great prize, but really it was LITERALLY about sharing the love.

Rochester's Kristen Willamen won the Y-105 Adele Flyaway...a sold out tour and she's going!

We went all out for the big billion dollar Powerball. Giving away a TON of tickets in the Drive By ticket giveaway (really, you just had to drive by and boom! A lottery ticket was yours...if you rubbed my horseshoe)!

We even made a documentary about a local guy that picks his numbers in the weirdest way. Well, kind of a documentary. And by kinda, I mean, not at all. Check it out here.

You can check out our YouTube page to see everywhere we've been up to. We were out there with you for Teacher TuesdayInsane Inflatables, SocialIce, and Thursday's on First, Along the way we've helped a listener loose her fear of carnival rides, the Woman's  Shelter said they needed towels, so they got a LOT of towels thanks to you, and, one of my personal favorites, helped an awesome grade school celebrate the hugely successful Neveln Elementary SOCKtober sock drive by DJ'ing a sock hop!

Oh, and just last week I got to hang out with some amazing and kind students at Sunset Terrace!

So please, give us a try, and you can ALWAYS tell us how you think we're doing on the Y-105 Facebook page.
