A few weeks ago I read a story about the amount of time we burn through struggling with insignificant decisions.  The smallest of decisions such as what to wear, what to eat or what presents to buy.  The article said by combining 14 of these small daily decisions, you end up wasting two years and nine months of your life.  That reminded me of another story I read about people who have taken this line of thinking to heart and make decisions based on NOT wasting their time.  Mark Zuckerberg, for instance, wears the same thing every day (much like Steve Jobs and Albert Einstein before him.)

During the times when I'm facing 'decision overload' and the task of figuring out whats for dinner is just too much to take, I chew on the concept of making fewer decisions.  I've determined the easiest option would be to wear a uniform and I'm not alone.  A recent survey showed that 48% of American workers -who don't already wear one- would like to wear a uniform each day.  I love the idea of not struggling with this each day, but I've been thinking about what my uniform would be.

I've been trying to convince my kids for YEARS that even they go to public school, they should wear a uniform.  I just think the simplicity of back to school shopping combined with not having to think about what to wear each day would make it worthwhile.  Of course, they think I'm crazy, but what else is new?!

How about you?  Would you like to wear a uniform and what would it be?  And If you already wear a uniform, do you love it or loathe it?
