Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman has been sentenced to a year in jail for smuggling drugs into the Olmsted County Jail.

23-year-old Elizabeth Weaver recently pleaded guilty to a fourth degree drug charge in the case. She was among three people charged after the staff at the Adult Detention Center discovered that methamphetamine was being brought into the facility inside wristwatches. The investigation into the drug smuggling was launched after the staff became suspicious about the number of inmates receiving watches.

In addition to the jail sentence, Weaver was also placed on probation for 10 years.
