Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man entered an Alford plea Monday in a criminal case stemming from an assault and robbery last summer.

21-year-old Kameron Jones entered the plea to a felony count of aiding and abetting simple robbery. The plea means he does not admit guilt, but acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict him.

Jones was accused of participating in an attack on a 25-year-old man who told police he went to a residence in the 400 block of 9th Avenue Southeast the night of August 3rd to buy some marijuana and was assaulted by four men. The victim says the men beat him and choked him until he blacked out. His attackers also stole the man’s money, which he says totaled $3500.

Jones is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25th.
