Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News)  - A Rochester radio personality will try to set a new world record Saturday by ringing the world’s largest Salvation Army Red Kettle bell.

Y105 morning host James Rabe will go to the top of the Plummer Building and ring the Rochester Carillon.

Rabe plans to brave the cold, windy weather from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to help raise money for the annual red kettle drive.

Rabe also hopes to set a daily donation record.

A kettle is expected to be placed near the Plummer Building for donations. The kettle at the north Walmart store will also be designated for Rabe’s effort from noon - 5 p.m.
