Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The three finalists for Rochester’s vacant city administrator’s position are visiting Rochester Thursday.

They were scheduled to tour the city and meet with department heads.

The City Council is scheduled to interview the candidates Friday.

The meeting will take place at the city fire station located near Century High School and it will be open to the public. The session will open at 7:30 a.m. with a briefing, followed by hourlong interviews of each finalist. The Council will then discuss what the next step should be. It’s possible a decision could come next week.

The finalists are currently working as government leaders in other cities. One is Chad Adams, the city manager of Albert Lea. Another is Bruce Messelt, the administrator of Chisago County in east central Minnesota. And the third is Stephen Rymer, city manager of Morgan Hill, Calif.
