La Crosse, WI (KROC AM News) - Residents in southeast Minnesota who have left or are leaving this week to take advantage of spring break will be spared the wet and colder weather that is headed this way.
The National Weather Service is tracking a storm system that is expected to arrive in the area mid-week.
The Weather Service says current models point to a rainy day on Wednesday. The rain is expected to change to snow Wednesday night and continue into Thursday. The area could receive 1 - 3 inches of snow before it ends.
It will be cold Thursday with highs in the low/mid-30s.
