What do pickle bandages, mullet mints, pina colada licorice, bacon frosting, pie, m &m's, and jalapeno pickled eggs have in common? They can all be found at this store in Minnesota, and I went there just yesterday with my mom. Want to take a look at some of the cool things they have? We were like kids in a huge candy store! (Oh yeah, we actually were kids in a candy store.)

So this weekend, I got to spend some quality time with my mom. They have a gum for that:

They have a gum for everything, a mint, a chocolate bar, a soda, a paste, a fudge, a lollipop, a jellybean, anything candy or even fruit, nut, vegetable, there were just a ton of odd things, interesting things, delicious things, and even crazy things in this store. Here is my mom sporting the 'Enjoy spending time with your mother' gum. I have no idea what the gum tastes like, but our time was certainly sweet. Get it, sweet?

Ok, Ok, I am not all that funny.  This was however a very fun time. It all started a couple of weeks ago when I was with a friend at a pizza place and we caught a tv newscast from northern Minnesota while we were eating the pizza. They featured this place and were talking about all of the interesting things in the store. Puzzles, candy, etc- and I said to my friend even, "We should go there sometime." Fast forward to yesterday, I was driving en route to somewhere else when I see the sign saying this candy store is only 7 miles ahead. I had to stop there of course! I couldn't miss it if I tried, even though I had not planned on stopping there until I saw that sign. Its big, its yellow, and it's huge! A little business in the front, party in the back anyone?

Mullet mints, whatever would we do without them? I never did have a mullet, but I think I may have hopped on the 'rat-tail' bandwagon a few years back, only for a brief time.

Above is an overview of the store. It may not quite be miles and miles long, but it certainly seems that way when you browse through and see candy and things you may or may not have seen for years.

If you were wondering if they have just regular candy in there the answer is yes. Normal things 'o' plenty on the shelves mixed in with the odd, the you could make somebody laugh or even personalize a gift with kind of gags and interesting items. Take for example the band-aid section. I guess it is confusing to me as to why they have to have band-aids and candy tied together, Is this some weird comfort food subliminal language? It just confuses me a bit. It is not like you need a band aid because of candy, but they had gummy band-aids, bacon band-aids, pac man band-aids, monster band-aids, gosh, I would be here all day if I named them all off.

Oh pickles make those boo-boo's heal so much faster. I think I read somewhere once that cucumbers, which really are pickles, have some special healing skin conditioning talent, so maybe there is something to this. Perhaps you know a pickle lover? The packages were sealed and I didn't buy any of these, so I couldn't tell you if they were scratch'n'sniff or not. Wouldn't it be cool if they were? Do you eat these things? I really am not sure.  Are they are really just bandages. ??? Do they work as both???

MMMMMMMM. Mac & Cheese. This is the cheesiest band-aid ever!

Look, just like Cracker-Jax, there is a prize inside.  I wonder what it is? There is only 15 of them  in that box however, whatever they are.

BACON! Well that is a no-brainer. Everybody loves bacon! There is a prize inside the bandages too. Hmmmm... I wonder if it's bacon? They even have bacon flavored soda. Does that even sound good? Mom bought some, she has yet to drink it....

UMMM...  Those didn't sound too appetizing to me, but... I'm sure somebody buys them if they are stocking them. NEXT...

Ok, now that is more up my alley. Normal candies. Aisles and Aisles of them. I could have sang the song, 'I Want Candy' as I walked around all of this stuff.

I did pick up some pina colada licorice and mom got some root beer licorice. Not bad at all! They even have homemade pies and fudge, popcorn, all that sort of stuff. I got some fudge, how could I resist?

Whose life would be complete without the Larry the Cable Guy Pass the Darn Ketchup Potato Chips? While we are on the subject of chips, Minnesota Twins fans may be interested in the Harmon Killabrew chips. I am surprised they didn't have any Wheaties boxes there, but you never know. They have plenty of room to stock all kinds of things.

There of course is many more than the few photos I took here that perhaps one day you'll get the chance to see. It's not too far away from us, in our lovely state. Jordan, Minnesota - I just happened to see the sign on 169.
