When you think of going on a shopping spree in Minnesota, your mind probably immediately runs to one location - the Mall of America. Yes, this is the place where you could shop all day and still not make it to every single floor. And your feet will probably feel the pain a bit too. I am always shocked when I see people shopping in heels...like, how?! The place is absolutely massive and is one shopping adventure where you need to carb load before you go.
If you aren't wanting to venture to Bloomington for an entire day of walking and shopping and want something a little more quaint, a small town in Minnesota was just named one of the best in the entire country for shopping. You can still carb load if you want but it won't be as necessary.

Charming Minnesota Town Just Named One of the Best in the United States for Main Street Shopping
Cheapism.com was on the hunt recently to find the best main street shopping in all of the United States. To be fair to all of the people in America, a winning town was picked in every state. Some of those lucky winners are towns with about 90,000 but others have less than 1,000 residents.
In Minnesota, the one and only Stillwater was picked as the favorite. Here are a few of the reasons why it is the Land of 10,000 Lakes' #1 pick:
- Scene you get to watch on the water - old-fashioned paddlewheel riverboats and gondolas
- Several bed and breakfasts
- Very close to larger cities (aka Twin Cities)
