Authorities ID Young ATV Crash Victim
Pilot Mound, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the young victim of an ATV crash that occurred Saturday morning near Chatfield.
Sheriff Tom Kaase says 10-year-old Hunter Bergo was the son of Ryker and Lena Bergo of Chatfield and Cheryl Kettner of Kenyon.
The Lanesboro Elementary School fourth grader was fatally injured in an accident at a rural property near the town of Pilot Mound, about six miles east of Chatfield. Sheriff Kaase says the deadly incident was reported shortly after 11 a.m. and Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene. Details about the accident have not been released.
A candlelight vigil for the young victim will be held Sunday evening at Sylvan Park in Lanesboro starting at 6:30 p.m.
