Corn on the Cob Days in Plainview Is Canceled Due To Covid-19
Another fun, summer tradition in Southeast Minnesota has been canceled.
The City of Plainview shared the sad news on their Facebook page that the Plainview Lions Club has voted to cancel Corn on the Cob Days.
"In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Plainview Lions Club has made the difficult decision to cancel Corn on the Cob Days scheduled for August 2020. Now and always, the health and safety of our community remains a priority.
Club members are still selling tickets to the Sportsman Raffle drawing to take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 16. We encourage you to buy raffle tickets to show your support for the Plainview Lions Club as we continue to serve our community in these unprecedented times."
If you've got questions or want to learn more about the Plainview Lions Club, check out their Facebook page here. (You can also send them a message to find out more about those raffle tickets!)
Although we have a lot of events canceled throughout the midwest, which now includes the Iowa State Fair, we do have restaurants, gyms, and even some movie theaters opening back up in our state. Stay up to date on the latest news related to Covid-19 on our app.
