Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester City Council has approved a food truck ordinance after working out some remaining issues.

The measure was approved at Monday night’s evening meeting. It defines zones where the trucks can operate and the hours the operators can do business.

Under the ordinance, annual fees for truck operators will begin at $750 the first year and rise to $1350 the third year.

The Council needs to give the ordinance one more reading before it becomes official.

That could happen at its May 16th meeting. If not, a vote is likely at the first meeting in June.
