Jeffrey Wenninger, a former member of Elton John's personal security team, is suing John on allegations of battery, sexual harassment and sexual battery.

Wenninger’s complaint alleges John “engage[d] in unwelcome and offensive touching” during a specific incident he says took place on April 12, 2014. The complaint details the reported assault, alleging that while the two were in a car together “...Elton John touched Plaintiff by placing his hand in Plaintiff’s pants, next to Plaintiff’s body, while trying to force his fingers between Plaintiff’s buttocks cheeks, and attempting to grab Plaintiff’s genitals both over and under his clothing.”

Wenninger also claims John told him to “Get your todger out” and “say hello to uncle Elton."

The complaint states that said “unwelcome touching” happened several times over the course of Wenninger’s 12 year employment with John and that things “escalat[ed] in frequency and intensity after 2010. At no time did [Wenninger] consent to Defendant Elton John touching him in this offensive manner, or in any other manner.”

Menninger says he deflected Elton’s alleged advances every time he was approached, but John reportedly remained undeterred.

Wenninger is seeking punitive damages of an undetermined amount for “physical, mental and emotional injuries…as well as other unpleasant physical, mental and emotional reactions.”

Elton John’s attorney Orin Snyder released a statement on behalf of his client, denying the allegations and claiming that Menninger is “a disgruntled former security officer seeking to extract an undeserved payment.”

“These claims are patently untrue and contradicted by numerous previous statements made by this plaintiff,” he continued. “We will not give into his latest abuse of the legal system."
