Rochester blew up with positive comments after former Rochester Mayor, Chuck Hazama, shared some Christmas spirit recently as he sang “Mele Kalikimaka” for the camera.
If you've been a resident of Rochester, you've probably heard of the name Chuck Hazama or remember when he was serving as the Mayor for our city from 1979 to 1995. He was recently spotted on social media singing proudly and smiling while singing a native Christmas Hawaiian song for all to hear.

It was so heartwarming to see all the positive comments for our former Mayor and memories that flooded Facebook after the song was shared on The Waters on Mayowood Facebook page.
You may not know this but you can thank this guy for the flood control system that happened throughout our city. The well-known Rochester flood of 1978 sparked this action.
Thank you, Chuck, for your years of serving this city and for that great song.
