TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida State men's basketball team is two victories away from winning the first national postseason tournament in school history. The top-seeded Seminoles face Minnesota in the NIT semifinals tonight.

Florida State has made a drastic turnaround after losing seven of 10 Atlantic Coast Conference games during a January-February stretch. The Seminoles closed the regular season winning 3 of 4, won a game in the ACC tournament and has won three NIT contests.

The Gophers beat the Seminoles 71-61 in December. Minnesota finished seventh in the Big Ten regular season standings and was given a No. 1 seed in the NIT. The six teams in front all earned bids to the NCAA tournament.

The Seminoles were one of the first four teams left out of the NCAA tournament.

The Gophers will be without center Elliot Eliason with an injured ankle.  Mo Walker will start in his place.

Tonight's tip off is set for 8 o'clock, we'll have the pre-game coverage beginning at 7:30 on KROC AM.
