There’s A Mysterious Spot In Wisconsin Where Your Car Will Roll Up Hill
I stumbled on something the other day that I thought was pretty interesting. I'll have to make a detour if I'm in the part of the state where this is. It's a mysterious gravity hill where your car rolls uphill and defy the laws of gravity.
The "hill" is near Shullsburg, Wisconsin which is in Lafayette County near the Southern border.
A sign marks the spot on the road, and it gives you instructions on how to experience Gravity Hill.

The sign warns motorists to watch for oncoming traffic and to do this at their own risk. What you do is stop your car at the sign and then put your car into neutral. Next, take your foot off the brake and watch as your car starts to roll uphill.
I found a YouTuber who tried this out, and it actually does work. It's because it's really an optical illusion. The surrounding horizon and hills makes it feel like your going up hill, but really the road is just a little less than flat. It actually has a very slight downhill grade, even though it looks like it's uphill.
At the very beginning, it really does look like the car is defining gravity and rolling uphill. There are other gravity hills in the US, and even another one in Wisconsin near Stockbridge.
You can find this gravity hill just south of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, on County Road U.
