Chatfield Woman Facing Drug Charges After Being Found Along Rural Rochester-Area Road

The calls came from the 1100 block of 80th Ave. SE southeast of Rochester

An Olmsted County Sheriff’s deputy who responded to the scene found a vehicle parked in the middle of the road with two open doors, the complaint says.

He encountered a woman identified as 48-year-old Shannon Marie Weisbrod in the passenger seat and another man who is named in the complaint but not charged in the case lying in the backseat.

The charges say Weisbrod appeared, “very disoriented and displayed numerous indicia of intoxication.” She said she did not know how they got where they were and that she woke up in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

Weisbrod was taken to the Olmsted County Jail where she provided a urine sample as she was suspected of being under the influence of methamphetamine, the complaint indicates.

Vehicle Searched

Back at the scene a K9 alerted deputies to the possible presence of narcotics. Deputies searched the vehicle and discovered multiple bags of methamphetamine and two oxycodone pills, the charges say.

The meth weighed out to 49.1 grams, the complaint says.

Weisbrod is charged with first-degree drug sales, second and fifth-degree drug possession and two gross misdemeanor DWI counts.
