Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man convicted of robbing two convenience stores in Rochester last summer today received a 111-month prison sentence.

The judge in the case also ruled that 26-year-old Adrick Mims will be allowed to serve the time concurrently with the 10-year prison sentence he received for three armed robberies in Austin last year. He was also given credit for the 335 days he has already spent in jail.

Mims today formalized what was previously a tentative plea agreement by admitting to a pair of first-degree aggravated robbery charges. In exchange, Olmsted County prosecutors dropped two counts of second-degree assault.

Mims was accused of robbing the Casey's General Store in the 1900 block of 7th Street Northwest on June 5 of last year. He was also charged with robbing the Shell Gas N Go in the 3600 block of East River Road Northeast on June 16. In the first robbery, he brandished a knife and was armed with a box cutter during the second holdup.

He was previously sentenced to 122 months in prison for three armed robberies that occurred in Austin last June. The final holdup led to a high-speed chase south of Austin into the town of Lyle, where authorities issued a "shelter in place" alert until Mims was found hiding in some shrubs and was taken into custody.
