He may manage the Minnesota Twins as his day job, but Rocco Baldelli now has twins of his own.

If you're going to work for the Minnesota Twins, your job security might just increase if YOU also have twins, right? Which is what just happened to the Twins' manager. Rocco Baldelli and his wife, Allie, are now the proud parents of a pair of fraternal twin boys, born last weekend.

According to Twins.com, the pair were born on Sunday:

The Twins’ skipper and his wife Allie welcomed a pair of fraternal twin boys -- Nino and Enzo -- to the world late Sunday night, the club announced on Monday.

This Yahoo Sports story says that Rocco left the team in Chicago Saturday night (where the Twins took three out of four games from the White Sox, though they lost that game 6-7) and headed back to Minneapolis, where he joined his wife just in time for the new members of the family to be born Sunday.

And while Minnesota's major league baseball team is named after the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, having twins of his own can't help to cement his future with the team, I'm guessing, right?

The 2023 season is Baldelli's fifth leading the Twins. They're currently in 1st place (as of Tuesday, September 19th) in the American League East, 6 games ahead of the Cleveland Guardians, which pretty much assures them of a spot in the playoffs this year.

Perhaps the good juju generated by Rocco's own twins can help propel the Minnesota Twins to their first victory in the post-season in nearly 19 years. Yes, that's right: the last time the Twins won a game in the playoffs was back on October 5th, 2004, when they beat the Yankees in New York, 2-0.

Can this be the year they break the streak? Come on, Nino and Enzo, work your magic!
