Minnesota Traffic Death Toll Above 300
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - An especially deadly weekend on Minnesota roadways has pushed the state's traffic death toll for the year above 300.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says there have been at least 10 traffic deaths in the state since last Thursday. The grim tally includes two motorists who died after their vehicles collided with school buses last Friday.
The most recent fatalities include a 65-year-old Lakeville man who was fatally injured when his motorcycle was struck by a suspected drunk driver in LeSueur County Sunday afternoon, and a 16 year old boy who perished in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in northwestern Minnesota.
The state's traffic death toll for the year now stands at 307.
