Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester’s Memorial Day Program will start with music from the Plummer Carillon at 9:15 a.m.

A procession will leave the American Legion/Central Park site along 1st Avenue at 9:45 a.m. and make its way to the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial. The Memorial Day Program will start there at 10:30 a.m.

Also, local veteran organizations will honor the dead whose remains are at sea with a service at the Center Street Bridge at noon.

Thousands are also expected to attend a special Memorial Day ceremony scheduled at Minnesota’s Fort Snelling cemetery.
