Restaurants In Southeast Minnesota Have A Goal To Provide 30,000 Meals For The Hungry
I've always got my eyes and ears open for businesses that give back. Well, I found another one that is doing this in a BIG way in quite a few towns in Southeast Minnesota and in Iowa!
Next time you need to grab lunch or a bite to eat, pull into a Subway®. The Rochester-Mason City-Austin area Subway® restaurants are helping fight hunger in September and have a huge goal of providing 30,000 meals to local food banks.
Here's how it works:
- Step 1: When you are hungry, go to a Subway® Restaurant
- Step 2: Purchase a sub, salad or wrap, with any drink and chips or two cookies.
- Step 3: Enjoy
Yeah...that's it! Your purchase will then help provide meals for people in our area that are in need. According to the info I got from Feeding America® and Subway®, "for every 2 meals purchased from 9/1/19-9/30/19, participating Subway® restaurants will donate the monetary equivalent of 1 meal up to 30,000 meals to Rochester-Mason City-Austin-area food banks. $1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local member food banks."
Think about which co-worker you are going to go out to eat with today, and while you wait for their message, check out these links to learn a bit more:
