Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Downtown Alliance is making a move, relocating from its current home to new digs not all that far away. The organization says its new address will be 311 South Broadway, the former site of Paine Furniture. RDA says it signed a 4-year lease for the north side of the main floor and will begin operating there Feb 1st. RDA will share the main floor with The Chocolate Twist, a non-profit ice cream shop operated by the Boys & Girls Club.  RDA says the new site offers better access to downtown businesses and organizations.

According to the RDA, the organization “is looking forward to activating the prominent Downtown location and plans to partner with a local artist to bring life to the windows of the building.”

“The RDA is dedicated to building a vibrant Downtown community,” says Jenna Bowman, Executive Director of the RDA. “We want people to see spaces and places that exude energy and showcase the activities and initiatives that give Rochester its unique character.”

The RDA oversees a number of events in the downtown, including the popular Thursdays on First and SocialICE.
