Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - For the fifth straight time, Lakeville North has denied Rochester John Marshall the opportunity to play at the state high school boys basketball tournament.

The two teams met at the Mayo Civic Center Friday night in a St Patrick's Day battle for the Section 1AAAA championship. Lakeville never trailed in the game. Although it was close at the half (32-25), the Panthers pulled away in the second half and never looked back.

Final score: Lakeville North 81, JM 61.

The loss snapped JM’s 22 game winning streak. The Rockets were led by Isaiah Walden, who scored 20 points. JM standout Matthew Hurt finished with 16. Technical fouls were called on both teams in the second half as Lakeville began pulling away. A large number of Lakeville fans made the trip to Rochester and the arena was near capacity.
