Rochester Man Assaulted For ‘Comments’ About Suspect’s Kids
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A confrontation between two Rochester men ended with one in jail and the other in the hospital.
Rochester police were contacted about the assault Wednesday afternoon.
A 26-year-old man told officers he was in his garage when he was confronted by 24-year-old Kalin Jones. The man says Jones suddenly punched him, slammed him to the ground and began kicking him in the face.
The victim was taken to Olmsted Medical Center for treatment of facial injuries. Jones was arrested on a felony assault charge.
A police spokesman says Jones was apparently upset about some comments the victim had said about his kids.
The spokesman also says the two are cousins.
