Rochester, MN (KROC-News) - A Rochester man has pleaded guilty to a felony weapon possession charge connected to some gunfire earlier this year outside a southeast Rochester apartment complex.

22-year-old Daijoun Johnson was arrested after police investigating the incident found a gun in his home. Police first responded to the Homestead Terrace apartments in the 900 block of 16th avenue southeast in the early hours of March 13th after witnesses reported hearing what sounded like an argument followed by gunshots. Some spent shell casings were found at the scene.

A car seen leaving the area was spotted a short time later outside a home in the 900 block of 1st avenue northeast after police responded to report of another shooting in that neighborhood, and a man who had been in the vehicle was seen going into the residence when officers arrived at the scene.

The man was identified as Johnson, who is scheduled to be sentenced on January 18th.
