Rochester’s Thrivent Community Provides Simple Way to Give Back

The past several months have been a difficult time for many local families. One Rochester business is stepping up to help and would like you to join them in this simple way to give back.

Thrivent Rochester Group is hosting an item drive for Family Service Rochester and Foster Caring and Sharing benefiting local families in need.

To participate, simply choose an item, or multiple items, from the list below and either order online and have it shipped to the Thrivent Rochester Group office by end of July. Or you can come by the drop-off event in the Thrivent Rochester Group roundabout on Elton Hills Lane on Thursday, July 30th anytime between 7:00 am. and 11:00 a.m. Beverages and snacks will be provided at the event as a small thank you for your donations. All items will be delivered to both organizations shortly after the drop-off event wraps up.

What needed items can you donate?

• Toiletries: Toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and lotion, toothbrushes, diapers, wipes (both Family Service Rochester and Foster Caring and Sharing need these items)
• Games: Family style board and card games, yard games (Foster Caring and Sharing)
• Gift Cards: Family activities, bowling, movie theater, swimming passes, rock climbing, museums, restaurants, Walmart, Target, Hy-Vee, etc. (Foster Caring and Sharing)
