
Minnesota Man Pleads Guilty in Teenager Sexstortion Case
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Twin Cities man has entered a guilty plea in a federal sexstortion case involving teenage victims.

That’s according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Minnesota on Tuesday. He's accused of running the scheme from July 2021 through March of 2022.
He entered the guilty plea in U.S. District Court in St. Paul on Tuesday and is facing time in prison.

Woodbury, MN Man Faces Prison Time After Guilty Plea in Federal Sexstortion Case
38-year-old Timothy Lennard Gebhart of Woodbury pleaded guilty to two counts of child pornography production, one count of child pornography distribution, and one count of interstate communication with the intent to extort.
He was charged following an investigation by the Woodbury Police Department, Greene County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, the FBI and the Owatonna Police Department.
Court documents accuse him of coercing a 16-year-old and 14-year-old into engaging in sexually explicit conduct to make pornographic videos. Gebhart would then use his phone and computer to share the videos.

He was also accused of using the videos to blackmail the 16-year-old victim into giving him money and other items of value, threatening to share the sexually explicit content of the victim with their family and friends, the news release says.
Gebhart is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date. The news release says he faces a mandatory prison sentence of at least 15 years.
