This Minnesota Cave Features Underground River and Waterfall
Minnesota has some amazing waterfalls, from St. Anthony Falls, to Gooseberry Falls, but only one will require you to take an underground tour.
Niagara Cave is located in Harmony, which is about 50 miles south of Rochester, it's about 200 feet deep and features a 60-foot waterfall, an underground stream, fossils, stalactites and stalagmites, and even an underground wedding chapel.
This privately owned cave is open for daily tours through October 31st, they recommend that if you're planning a visit, to make reservations online to avoid long wait times. The tour is $20 for ages 13+ and $12 for kids 3 - 12, kids under 3 are free.

The hour-long tour will take you down and up a total of 550 stairs, so make sure you can handle that before starting the tour. Also, wear good walking shoes, flip-flops and Crocs are not recommended, and high heels and bare feet are not allowed on the tour.
The cave was discovered in 1924, and was given the Niagara Cave name in 1932 after it was explored, and it opened for tours in 1934. They also have a mini golf course and gift shop on site.
Niagara Cave has been ranked several times as one of the best caves in the United States, both USA Today and CNN have highlighted the cave as one of America's Top 10.
Niagara Cave is only one of two caves that are open to the public in Minnesota, and the only one with the underground stream and waterfall. Like I said previously, it's privately owned, and only three families have managed the cave since its discovery.
