The other day, I was near Best Buy and saw a huge line of people waiting outside. It's not Black Friday. We aren't even close to the Christmas shopping season. But the scene outside this technology retail store looked like people camped out for the next big thing.

The item people are standing in line for at Best Buy...it isn't the latest iPhone or big screen TV...it is a toy. And it is just one of the most popular toys that are flying off of store shelves this summer.

Runner Up - Hacky Sack

If your teens are on the hunt to buy a hacky sack, good luck. These got super popular all of a sudden and stores weren't prepared for it. What makes me laugh is how teens think that this is the "new thing". I've said this on the radio quite a few times during my show...but for those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s...we did this already.

Based on data from Accio, their booster packs and starter boxes had it's highest average sales count in January of this year. It's not just kids who are seeking these popular cards.
