Winter in Minnesota can be at times long and boring. The really cold temps we experience keep people indoors, and during this time people begin to get a little stir crazy thinking about ways to escape or turn the mundane into something exciting. Enter Dave Chicos of Dodge Center.

KIMT-TV in Mason City had the scoop on the ice carousel that was built on a pond in Dodge Center. The carousel was roughly 100 feet wide and took Chicos and some buds about 2 hours to create.

The floating carousel held about 40 people, complete with a bonfire, which you can see in the video from KIMT-TV.

Chicos told KIMT-TV that "the idea came from online" and that "they are planning to build another one next winter."

You can see the video that Dave shared on his Facebook page here.
