Compcare Urgent Care Opening New Rochester Location in May

"Hey Jessica, I saw a sign out front of the old MedExpress location on 55th Street in Rochester.  What's going in there?"

I love getting messages like this on my Facebook page and yesterday, I got 3 that asked this exact same question.  Just in case you were also wondering, here's the scoop on what is going in the old MedExpress location.  A brand new business to Rochester is opening up shop. Compcare Urgent Express is planning on opening their new place at 5507 Chateau Rd NW in May 2021.

Compcare Urgent Express has three other locations that are currently open in Minnesota including Owatonna, Faribault, and Rogers.  According to their website, the Rochester location and one in Lakeville are "Coming Soon".  It looks like the services that they will be bringing to our area are similar to what we experienced with MedExpress as they have occupational medicine, urgent care, as well as telemedicine listed on their website.  They describe each of those areas of expertise quite extensively on their website and if you want to read more, you can view those descriptions here.

When did MedExpress close?  Some people didn't even realize this place was open but unfortunately, MedExpress was one of the many businesses that closed its doors in 2020.  It was a tough year for many businesses and you can see the full list of places in town that closed below.
