St. Paul, MN (KROC AM News) -  A deadly avian flu virus continues to spread in Minnesota poultry farms.

The U.S. Agriculture Department announced Tuesday that an outbreak has been confirmed at a second turkey farm in Kandiyohi County. The operation has about 30,000 birds. The first outbreak in that county, and a third in Stearns County were confirmed on Monday.

The state has now seen 8 outbreaks caused by the virulent H5N2 virus in commercial turkey flocks in western and central Minnesota in recent weeks.
