Nearly $100 Million Raised For ALS
For the past month or so, the Ice Bucket Challenge is everywhere! You’ve seen your neighbors and friends post theirs on Facebook and YouTube. You’ve seen celebrities doing it too, some quite creatively. But whether you still get a kick out of seeing them or are starting to get tired of watching them, you can’t deny the impact they’ve made in raising awareness and money for ALS.
In fact the ALS Association just released a press release stating that the Ice Bucket Challenge has brought in close to $100 million since it began one month ago (July 29th to August 27th). To put that into perspective, during that same time period last year, the ALS Association raised $2.7 million. There’s no doubt the catchy Ice Bucket Challenge gimmick has been extremely successful.
Even Homer Simpson has gotten in on the action.
