Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was injured after crashing his snowmobile on a rural Olmsted County trail Sunday afternoon.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Michael Paulson was riding with three other snowmobilers on a trail near the intersection of county roads 8 and 16 near the city airport when the crash occurred.

Paulson said he lost control when the trail narrowed as it went between two poles. He hit one of the poles and was thrown to the ground. He was driving at about 20 mph at the time and was wearing a helmet.

Paulson was able to drive home and later went to St. Marys Hospital when he began feeling ill. He was reported in good condition Monday morning.
