I've been through quite a few of the #momlife stages.  It's been 18 years since I first got that "Mom" title and I'll tell ya...I'm still tired.  Ok, it is a different tired than that newborn stage but I can say that life hasn't slowed down much.

Throughout the years of #momlife, I've found a few items that I just can't live without.  Some of these are just time-savers, some are money-savers, and some are because my kids have taken all of my things and I just need my own.  Moms, you know what I'm talking about.

Neato Robot Vacuum.  We have the brand Neato and call ours "Sucky McSuckFace" and I feel a little bit like The Jetson's when it is going...but it is awesome.  (I actually just used my phone to tell Sucky to vacuum my house while I did the show on Y-105FM!). A few people have called me "spoiled" for having this, but I don't care.  If it ever breaks, I will cry.  If you don't have this already, get it...now.

Method Laundry Detergent.  I know...everyone has their favorite brand, but this is what I have learned through the years of doing laundry forever...some laundry detergent works better and lasts longer than others.  I found this brand by accident but seriously, it lasts forever!  I've got 3 kids and they are all basically adult size now so there are a lot of clothes all.the.time to wash.  Truth: It takes very little detergent to actually get the clothes clean with Method and you will start to wonder why you didn't switch earlier. I have saved $$$ with this brand too since I'm not going through detergent as fast.  Ready to try it?  Find the scent you'd like here.

USB Outlets.  We are in the middle of renovating our kitchen and main floor so we are redoing everything.  Yes, everything.  We've started to put pieces back together and as we make upgrades, we are taking those old, 70's cream-colored outlets in the garbage and replacing them with something that works for today...outlets WITH USB plug-ins.  If you've noticed your devices are getting unplugged so your kids can get back to 100% on their devices, it is probably time to click here and upgrade a few at your house too.

Comfy Blanket...just for you!  Not sure what happens at your house but when my family heads down to our basement for movie night, it is a mad dash for the best blankets.  I'd always be the last one to get there because I am the mom and the only one that sees all of the lights that are still on in the entire house.  I finally get to the basement and I get the blankets that provide basically zero warmth.  I solved this little problem and just bought my own blankie.  It is warm.  It is mine. No more questions.  Do you need your own blankie too?  Here's the one I love.

Smart Thermostat.  This isn't a super fancy or necessarily a fun item, but it is helpful.  Our smart thermostat lets us control and monitors our house from our phones or devices, even while we are gone.  We could be driving in I-90 after seeing family and when we get to Austin, just let our house know "Hey, we'd like you to warm up a few degrees before we get there" and BAM, it does.  We also use Google Home and have our smoke detectors and all of those things connected, which also sends us alerts when it notices an issue...like, when my husband was at work and smoke filled the house because I burned something in the oven.  #trustory  We save money though by being able to use multi-sensors for our temperatures throughout the house and feel a bit safer knowing we are alerted right away when something might be wrong.  Click here to learn more.
