According to Rochester police, after three similar assaults on women, a suspect has been identified.

The latest assault happened just days after an advisory was issued about two other incidents involving Rochester women who were assaulted by a stranger.

In that case

Rochester Police Capt John Sherwin says a 16-year-old went for a run around 11:15 Tuesday night in the Meadow Run neighborhood in the southwest part of the city when a man approached and grabbed her by the shoulders. The teen says she punched the man in the chest and ran home and called 911.

She describes the man as white, 6 feet tall, thin and in his 50s.

Now we've learned there is a suspect. He's only been in town about a week and was not identified in a line-up, and there is not enough evidence without an identification. The man did give up his DNA without a fuss, so they'll look for more evidence on the victims'' clothing.
