After 13 Years, Adorable Boutique Is Closing This Location in Southeast Minnesota

One of the cutest shops in Southeast Minnesota just informed fans that one of its locations is closing.  After 13 years, the gorgeous window displays that many have loved to see in this quaint town will be gone.  Below is the emotional note that was just shared that announced the unfortunate news.

Adorable Boutique in Southeast Minnesota Just Announced It Is Closing

Since the pandemic hit our world, the retail landscape has been experiencing several challenges.  Lately, several national chains have announced store closing due to declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy, including Eddie Bauer and Francesca's.  A Minnesota-themed store at the Apache Mall just closed recently as well.  Now, an adorable boutique (that I loved) in Southeast Minnesota has shared that its Chatfield, Minnesota location is closing.

Emotional Note From The Owner of Adourn Announcing The Closure of the Chatfield Store

One of the most adorable places to shop the past decade is this cute boutique just a short drive from Rochester.  Sadly, I just read the news on the Adourn Facebook page that the boutique located at 218 Main Street S in Chatfield is closing.  Below is the note that Melissa, the owner, shared with fans when she broke the news:

This is a hard post to write. After a lot of thought and reflection, I’ve made the decision to close the Chatfield shop Thirteen years… it’s hard to even put into words what that means to me.

 

This space was never just a store. It was a dream, a huge leap of faith, a creative home, and a place that shaped so much of my life. I met some of the most incredible people here — many of you became friends, and some of you became family. I’ll forever be grateful for the love, support, and memories that live within these walls.

 

One of the greatest gifts of all was getting to work alongside so many strong, beautiful women over the years. Women who believed in me, showed up for me, supported me, inspired me, and helped carry this dream every step of the way. I truly could not have done this without them, and I will always hold those relationships so close to my heart.
I watched my daughter and her closest friends grow up in this space, and that alone feels like the greatest gift. So many moments, conversations, laughs, and milestones happened right here.

 

While it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, I feel a deep sense of peace and hope about what’s next. I’m reminding myself that sometimes growth means letting go of something good to make space for something new.
Thank you for believing in me, for supporting small business, and for being part of this journey over the last 13 years. I’ll carry this chapter of my life with me forever.

If you missed shopping at this cute place in Chatfield, don't miss your opportunity in Red Wing.  This store opened up in July 2025 and the furniture pieces, household accessories, and displays are just as gorgeous as the Chatfield location.

Take a drive and visit Adourn at 413 Main Street in Red Wing.  (And while you are there, I highly recommend visiting Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop too - that place is just as magical but with a taste of delicious.)
