If you've never had a burger from Red Cow, you are missing out on one of the best. Unfortunately, as of June 1st, one of the Red Cow locations in Minnesota will be closing for good.
When sales drop 60 to 70% over a two year period, change has to happen. Sadly, those are the numbers that the Red Cow location in Uptown was seeing and why they made the difficult decision to not extend their lease.

One Of The Red Cow Restaurants In Minnesota Is Closing For Good on June 1st, 2026
A great spot to grab an amazing burger and drinks with friends is unfortunately closing in the Uptown area of Minneapolis. According to the Star Tribune, the Red Cow location at 2626 Hennepin Ave. is set to close on June 1st, 2026.
Hennepin Avenue Reconstruction Project Biggest Driver Of Declining Sales For Red Cow In Minneapolis
Based on information from minneapolismn.gov, Hennepin Ave. is now open and the "major construction activities are substantially complete". However, this construction project from Hennepin Ave. S. between Lake St. W. and Douglas Ave. has taken a toll on businesses financially, including Red Cow, which has been serving the Uptown area the past 10 years.
