
CLOSED: One of Rochester’s Go-To Stores Just Shut Down for Good
Back in June, a large retail company announced that it was filing for Chapter 11 and as a result, over 20 stores would be closing throughout the United States. If this sounds like a familiar message - it is. We've been hearing the same type of news from other large companies like Joann Fabrics, Party City, and Macy's. This time, the name of the company is At Home.
At Home Files Chapter 11 Resulting in 20+ Stores Closing, Including One in Minnesota
CBS News was one of the first to share the list of stores closing throughout the United States, and unfortunately, one of those on the list was impacting jobs in Rochester, Minnesota.
Initial reports from USAToday.com indicated that the 20+ At Home stores on the list to close would shut their doors by September 30th, 2025. We now know that some of those stores are closing even earlier, including the store in Rochester, Minnesota.

At Home Store In Rochester, Minnesota Is Now Closed
If you drive by the At Home store in Rochester, Minnesota, you'll notice that the sign is still up on the building and the cart corrals are still in the parking lot. It all looks normal, but one new addition has been added - an orange sign on the front door with the following handwritten note:
Store Is Now Closed

At Home has also removed the Rochester location from its website.
